1. About This Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the YRT Japan website (the "Site") and any vehicle purchase arranged through YR Trading Co. Ltd ("YRT Japan", "we", "us", "our"), a company headquartered at 718-1 Sakai Higashi Arai, Isesaki, Gunma 370-0101, Japan. By browsing the Site, submitting an inquiry, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Vehicle Listings & Auction Sourcing

Vehicles shown on the Site are sourced from Japanese auto auctions and our own stock. Listing details (grade, mileage, equipment, and condition notes) are taken from auction inspection sheets and are provided in good faith, but auction sheets are written in Japanese shorthand and translations may not capture every nuance. Photos may be of the actual vehicle or a representative example where auction photos are limited. All vehicles are sold as-is based on the auction grade at the time of purchase; we encourage you to ask us any question about a specific car's condition before you buy.

3. Quotes, Pricing & Reservations

Prices shown are based on the vehicle's auction price or asking price and do not include shipping, insurance, or destination-country duties/taxes unless stated otherwise — see Export Information for how FOB, CFR, and CIF pricing works. Auction vehicles remain available to other buyers until a deposit is received, so a quoted price is not a guaranteed reservation. Once you decide to proceed, our team will confirm the reservation terms with you directly.

4. Payment

Payment terms, accepted methods, and our bank account details are listed on our Payment Terms and Bank Info pages. For your security: YRT Japan only accepts payment to the account(s) listed on our Bank Info page. We are not responsible for funds sent to any other account, and we will never ask you to pay into a personal or unlisted account.

5. Shipping, Import Duties & Delivery

We arrange export shipping from Japan as described on our Freight Rates page. Once a vehicle arrives at the destination port, customs clearance, import duties, and local registration are the buyer's responsibility unless we have explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. Shipping schedules depend on vessel availability and are estimates, not guarantees.

6. Cancellations & Disputes

Because each vehicle is purchased on your behalf at a specific auction or from a specific seller, cancellations after a deposit is paid may be subject to auction cancellation fees, yard fees, or a partial refund as set out in our Payment Terms. If you believe a vehicle you received doesn't match what was described, contact us immediately — see Report a Problem — and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it.

7. Website Accounts & Favourites

Creating an account lets you save vehicles to a favourites list and track your inquiries. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information when registering or submitting an inquiry form.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site — including scraping or bulk-downloading listings, attempting to bypass security controls, or submitting false information through our inquiry forms. We may suspend access for accounts or activity that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Site's design, text, and graphics are owned by or licensed to YRT Japan. Vehicle photos and auction data are used under license from our auction data providers. You may not reproduce or redistribute Site content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YRT Japan is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or a vehicle purchase, including delays in shipping caused by carriers, customs authorities, or events outside our reasonable control.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from these Terms or a purchase will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Japan, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer-protection law in your country.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business or the law. The "Effective date" above shows when this version took effect. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
