Freight Rates
How ocean freight is calculated for cars shipped from Japan.
Ocean freight is calculated by a vehicle's volume in cubic metres (m³) multiplied by the shipping rate to your destination port. Larger vehicles — vans, trucks, and construction machinery — naturally take up more space and cost more to ship than a compact sedan.
Because rates vary by destination port, shipping line, and sailing frequency, we quote freight individually for each vehicle and destination rather than publishing a fixed table — that way you get an accurate, current price rather than an estimate that's gone stale.
Tell us your destination port and the vehicle you're interested in, and we'll send you an exact freight quote.
