Payment Terms

Terms and conditions that apply to every YRT Japan purchase.

The following terms and conditions apply to every purchase made through YRT Japan. For account details, see Bank Info.

  1. 1. Payment is accepted by Telegraphic Transfer (T.T.) or PayPal only. Please use your Proforma Invoice number as the payment reference.
  2. 2. Proof of payment must be emailed to us as soon as the transfer is made.
  3. 3. A reservation is held for 7 business days with a deposit of 50% or more of the purchase price; unpaid reservations may be released for re-sale after this period.
  4. 4. Any charges levied by the issuing or correspondent bank are the customer's responsibility.
  5. 5. Shipment is arranged approximately 3 weeks after full payment is received.
  6. 6. A USD 50 fee applies to any Bill of Lading amendment requested after issuance.
  7. 7. Original documents are couriered once the purchase is fully settled.
  8. 8. The customer bears any risk or cost arising from a delay in payment.
  9. 9. A yard fee of JPY 25,000 per week applies to vehicles awaiting payment beyond the reservation period.
  10. 10. Full payment is required at least 10 days before the vessel's arrival; otherwise the consignee may be reassigned.
  11. 11. Export documents (Export Certificate, translations, inspection certificate) are withheld until payment is received in full.
